“My baby is teething.”
Say these words to anyone who has any experience with little ones and you are sure to hear words of sympathy. Just about everyone knows that the teething stage is such a hard one for our babies. It’s so difficult to see them suffer. Both of our kiddos are normally very laid back and happy, but when those teeth are coming through, they turn into completely different children! They will cry for no reason at all, are very clingy and need Mommy and Daddy to hold them constantly, wake up screaming at night, and can’t take their naps because their teeth are making them so uncomfortable! Teething is something that can vary so much from child to child. Some babies are born with teeth, some get them very early, most start getting them between 3 and 9 months, and some don’t get their teeth until later. With our babies, the first teeth pop through at about 9 months and then we see nothing for about another 6 months. Then it seems that ALL of their teeth start coming through at the same time to make up for lost time.
Needless to say, during those hard days, we love our Infant Tylenol, Infant Ibuprofen, and Orajel. I don’t know how we would survive without them! The small amount of relief they give is such a help! That being said, I’m really loving that Orajel is offering a $1 off coupon on their products!

- Colic Tablets: If your little one is particularly fussy and seems uncomfortable due to mild indigestion troubles, Hyland’s offers these Colic tablets to try. They are tiny tablets that dissolve in your babies mouth.

Free Music Downloads for Kids
My babies love music. My 22 month old loves to dance to the tunes that he hears – even my 9 month old gets wiggly when she hears a good song! I’ve checking out different kids music CDs from the library but was excited to find a site online that offers free music downloads for children. Our kids find their favorite songs on the library CDs but then we have to return them – by downloading the music for ourselves, we can keep their favorite tunes handy all the time!
When choosing songs for our little ones, I try to find ones that are teaching songs – like the ABC song or counting songs or even days of the week songs. Right now, our oldest son’s favorite song is about the “choot choot” train. He really gets into singing along to the parts he can say and requests the song whenever get into the car.
I have found that, even just having some sort of music playing while we’re at home doing the normal daily routine, seems to help keep kiddos in a good mood. It even seems to help them keep themselves busier and more content, just having those tunes playing! Happier little ones makes for a happier mommy!
