Blockbuster – Free Kids Rental with Report Card

Now that school is starting I wanted to remind you of a great program the rewards your child for good grades. If your kid has a B or better report card they can pick out a free movie rental at Blockbuster!

Students with a B average or better can bring in their original report card, signed by a parent or legal guardian, and receive one free Blockbuster movie. Membership is required for the rental. What is great is that multiple students from the same household can participate! Students are eligible to participate once every new grading period and only official report cards will be honored.

Remember to bring the report card within 30 days of issuance and students in kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible! Blockbuster wants to help reward your hard working child – enjoy watching a great movie with your child from Blockbuster!

Lowe’s is having another Build and Grow clinic 8/28/2010 at 10am. I have been taking my children the past few months, and they just love it! They keep the project they build, and use real tools and nails. They get a badge and a coupon for a free Wendy’s frosty!

Your child will get to keep:

The project they build,
An apron if this is their first visit,
A pair of goggles on their first visit,
A sew on patch for completing the project,
And a completion certificate signed by the instructor!

You can register online. The project is form 10am-11am. We usually show up around 10:30 so that the rush has passed. My kids are 3, 4, and 7 and they really do have a blast!

On July 23, 2010 I told you about a free offer for coloring books that introduce Germany to your child. I filled out the request form myself, told them I homeschool my children, and a few days ago I received a great envelope of coloring and activities books for my kids.

The coloring book is 12 simple pages. Kids can color the main sights in Germany. Words are in both German and English, which is fun. The light blue books are the coloring books, and the darker blue books are full color booklets with photos and facts. Kids will see what money looks like, local art, and learn about the history.
