Free Enfamil A.R. To Help With Baby Spit-Up

As a mom to special needs adopted children, I have often found that formula is hard on tummies.  My children have had severe reflux problems.  I wanted to give them the best start and often worried that they were not getting enough to eat due to the spitting the formula back up.  It also created other issues too, like more laundry and formula stains that will not come out of their clothes or mine.  I had a discussion with my pediatrician about my many concerns and the said that she found that Emfamil A.R. with Lipid really helped.  Our doctor is also a mom and mentioned that she fed that to her child as well. I was very skeptical at first, but my doctor explained that it has been specially designed to thicken in a babies tummy to help it stay down.  

My mom suggested adding a rice to our current formula.  After all, that is what she did.  I was rather concerned about doing that as, it just seemed to be too thick and cause my child to choke! What a difference that made!  What I discovered is that Emfamil A.R. with Lipids has rice starch added to it, which causes it to thicken in their tummy. No choking!  What a wonderful idea.  Thank you Emfamil, for yet another great product.
