But isn’t it a lot of work shopping for diapers and then selling them on eBay?
NO. We have to shop for diapers anyway. When we find a great deal (such as the deal we mentioned before – 4 cents per diaper) we stock up like crazy.
• We need a ton of diapers either way
• If we don’t use them we can sell them on eBay
• We sell them ongoing while we use them
It takes us a minute to list diapers on eBay. Once you’ve done it once you can use the same picture and description. In fact you can even sell multiple packs of diapers under one auction.
We usually safeguard ourselves with the shipping and handling fee. You can set a flat fee in eBay. We usually set it at $6-12 depending on the product size. Depending on where it ships to we usually make some profit in this “handling fee”.
What About Shipping, isn’t that a headache?
NO. Shipping is simple- We print off the shipping label on our home printer. We put the package outside the door and specify online for home pickup from USPS.com. It’s too easy!
Don’t you feel bad for the person that buys the diapers; you are making money off of them?
NO. This is how business works! Every time you buy groceries someone is making money off of you. We are getting paid to do the leg work. We find the great deals and pass that on to our buyer. If it wasn’t a good deal or convenient or for some reason enticing to the people that buy it from us, they wouldn’t’.

Here is an example of what we sold on an EBay auction. We paid 3.50 for this pack of diapers. This shipped for $ 4 dollars. So we made $17.75 – $3.50 cost = $14.25 profit.
